Aww pooey
Perhaps you can guess from the title, but Spencer let loose today after about 4 days of gathering. This time when we heard the distinct sound, we ran with him to his change table and prepared for the worst. It definitely wasn’t as bad as the 7 day gathering, but it overfilled his diaper again. Maybe we should be a little more cautious about the state he’s in when he was quiet and had a concentrating look on his face. Unfortunately, this concentrating stare also looks like his ‘zoned out’ stare and his ‘I’m tired’ stare. Anyway, he is now nicely bathed and sleeping soundly.
So, over the past few days, I have been inoculating him with the ins and outs of World Cup soccer (and soccer in general). He has been enjoying the games, which we watch from our laptop computer. Today he indicated that he thought Mexico would be at least the first to score, if not the only team to score (they were playing France). Indeed, this is what happened. Yesterday he was cheering for Uruguay, and they won the match. Either he has a keen sense of the abilities of each team, or he’s going to be a good gambler. I hope the first is more true :).
So, for yesterday, I could not choose between the photos, so they’re all up here, in consecutive order going downwards. Perhaps you’ll enjoy the scene they play out as well.

This one is where I was showing Spencer a corner kick that was happening in favour of Mexico (the first corner, possibly the only one, I can’t remember).
