Answer Me This
1. What’s something you intended to do today, but didn’t?
Make ice cream. I had made homemade chocolate mint ice cream for Felicity’s baptismal party, which went like wildfire. Andy later told me that he only got a tablespoon full of it. So I have had every intention to make another batch of it for us so that he could have more than a tablespoon (and me too, to be honest). I just haven’t made it yet. Apparently it doesn’t trump sitting on my butt watching the World Cup.
Blurry, but you get the idea. Inspiring another generation of footy players.
2. What’s your favourite grilling recipe?
It’s not actually a recipe, really. Oil, some salt, and nearly any vegetables. I love grilled vegetables. Fullstop. It’s not that I don’t love other food grilled up, but grilled vegetables just make everything better, no matter what else you have.
3. What movie did you see most recently?
The Croods. We watched it Sunday together as a family to celebrate Father’s Day. It was pretty good.
4. Would you say your tendency is to over- or under-react to medical situations?
My tendency is to over-react, but I know that it is my tendency, so I try to compensate. If you experience me in a medical situation, you will likely experience me in my compensating-under-reacting mode. Though if I’ve had experience with something similar before, I’m likely to naturally under-react (eg. kids falling down … well, anything under 6 feet. Will check over now to make sure nothing is broken, but otherwise will mostly ignore).
5. Do you squeeze the toothpaste tube or roll it?
Combination? Generally I squeeze until I get towards the end, then I use my toothbrush to press all the toothpaste towards the opening. But strictly speaking I don’t roll.
6. What did you do on Father’s Day?
We went to Mass, came home, ate food. Watched the Croods in the afternoon with popcorn, had burgers for supper, then after the kids were in bed, watched Star Trek: The Next Generation (thanks Darryl for lending us your collection!). Nearly a normal day with the exception of the kids giving Andy some gifts and watching the movie together. Pretty good, really :).
