Answer Me This

Answer Me This31. What’s for dinner?

I’m hoping it will be my mom’s cooking. She’s finally arriving today, just in time for baby’s arrival. I’ll be honest – we’ve been eating off paper plates for the last week cause we are just not. getting. things. done. The kids are sapping all my energy these days and to even get food on the table is a miracle, let alone cleaning up after it. Blah. I’m done with being done.

2. What’s the last thing you borrowed from someone?

Oddly enough, a pregnancy dress. One of the moms in my moms’ group had a dress she really wanted to share with moms who were pregnant. I was the first one who claimed a pregnancy for this year (now there are 4 or 5 of us), so she offered me the dress. Yay clothes!

3. What is your favourite prayer?

At this point in my life, I would have to say the Gloria. Spencer has always love, love, loved the Gloria, and now after having sung it for him for what feels like millions of times over the past 2 years, I feel really attached to it. I love the way it expresses our faith in God while giving glory to the Creator, Redeemer, and Spirit so poetically.

4. What is the oldest thing in your house?

I can name some old things, but I don’t know if I have an ‘oldest’ item that I can name. Possibly the sewing desk that I inherited from my grandmother (that we use for a computer desk currently). Andy may have some keepsakes from his family that are older

5. What’s the best concert that you ever attended?

Cecilia Bartolli. Opera singer. While I was taking music lessons in high school she was the one whom I’d be listening to in order to hear what the piece sounded like. Love her stuff, and her concert in Vancouver was absolutely amazing. And classy.

6. Do you have a nickname?

Not really. I used to imagine that I had nicknames, but that was a long, long time ago in a world that revolved around a Disney musical by the name of The Newsies. Throw in some high school obsession-ness, and a whole world of imaginary things happened. I thought I was pretty cool though.

Loving God through my family, friends, and interactions in my world.
