We’re back!

It’s been a nice few weeks of relaxing and no commitments! Happy New Year everyone! Did anyone make any resolutions? I’m not sure if I buy into the who thing only for tradition sake; we make resolutions on a regular basis (Lent is a great kick start for this in our lives). I do like the idea of reflecting and learning and looking forward, though.

One thing we are going to be doing over the next year and a half as a family is preparing ourselves to do a week-long bike tour on the Trans-Canada Trail. This will include finding relatively cheap, light, and compact camping equipment and biking to work nearly every day that we can. I’m hoping that we can take a 2 day bike trip by the end of this summer. I’m very excited at the prospect of this adventure!

Speaking of biking, I have to say, this mild weather is very conducive for bikers. I’ve seen a huge increase in people biking over the last week or so. It’s a little crazy given that it’s January in the prairies.

We flew a kite a couple days ago. The wind was blowing like crazy so we took out the kite, and man, did it ever fly! Our best kite-flying trip yet!

So, did you make any resolutions? What were they?
