I had a discussion with some mama friends recently, and now I wonder, which is weirder: that we don’t sell human milk to humans or that we drink another species’ milk regularly? Similar thoughts, but different. And along those lines, if we did market human milk, would there be regulations on what the mama could eat in order to be considered ‘organic’? It’s interesting that we place these regulations on cows, but for our own babes, we definitely don’t promulgate healthy eating so the newbies can get better milk.
