The weather is nothing like Ottawa. I’m loving it. Hot and dry (instead of hot and humid or cold and humid). The funny part is, the Canadian Weather site considers 50 or 60% humidity to be bad and it will give a humidex for it (ex. yesterday it was a temperature of 27, but with the 32% humidity they called it 28 degrees humidex). It’s quite ridiculous, coming from Ottawa, to believe anything less than 60% humidity is bad. As such, it’s been beautifully hot & dry weather!
Our place is still slowly coming together. Unfortunately Spencer and I came down with something Tuesday and were feeling quite off, so we’ve taken Wednesday and now today off to recover. Hence, no energy to organise. I’m definitely on the mend; I have energy again. It’s hard to tell with Spud, but his energy seems to be up again too. His naps are longer than usual, but he’s also just going (gone?) through a growth spurt when his naps get longer, so it’s hard to tell for him.
We may have splurged a little bit a couple days ago and bought a patio set from Superstore. It’s a full sized table, 4 chairs and an umbrella, and because it was on season clearance (they were already putting up Hallowe’en items), it was $75. We’re pretty proud of that one! It’s been great so far – spent the afternoon in the backyard yesterday in the shade of the umbrella. Now if only we could find a way to reduce the spiders that make their webs in a split second when you’re not looking (my tea cup! cobwebbed while I fixed some clothes hanging outside!).
Here are a couple pictures. More to come this weekend.

Better picture of it. That’s what happens when you look at a cupboard door and run face first into it. Apparently.
